Ray Price, Quality & Safety Manager joined former Magor sister division Nidum Precision at Manchester Place in Hirwaun as an apprentice toolmaker in 1968. He has served under all three generations of company ownership. Ray, from Aberdare, is seen below receiving his 50 year service presentation from Sean O’Brien, Managing Director.
“Ray is highly respected both within Magor and the wider industry for his knowledge and expertise, his willingness to assist others and his hard work and commitment to the team”, says MD Sean. “Through his career he has progressed from Apprentice, through a variety of positions to hold responsibility for two of the real core values of Magor – Quality and Safety. Ray’s expertise has been recognised not just within our own business but for many years he provided outsourced Quality Management Services to clients in the West of England and Midlands. His continued drive, enthusiasm and commitment is an example to us all. On behalf of the Magor Directors and Team, I want to formally thank Ray for his support in making an unprecedented achievement – and we look forward to working with him as a colleague for many years to come!”
Modest as ever, Ray commented, “Thank you to both Magor and my colleagues for their kind words and gift –it is a pleasure to work with them. I don’t know where the time has gone! There have been many changes and the pace of change continues to quicken – I am looking forward to the next chapter of my career with Magor.”
